September is the month of transition from the summer months the cooler weather of autumn. As climate changes, so our cooking habits may change too. Instead of cold salads, soups, sandwiches and fresh and light food, September is the month when we start eating warmer, stronger, the food again. To get into the spirit of seasonal changes in September, here are some foods to try to incorporate into your kitchen.
Soups
With the cooler weather, hot soups, once again a viable option for dinner. Soups are an excellent choice for the new season, because they are so versatile and can include almost anything you want. French onion soup and lentil soup are an excellent option, or try a more delicate soup that includes many different vegetables as you want. Almost any type of meat can be incorporated into the soup, or for those who want the seafood, which is finally cool enough to carry out the clam chowder.
Hot Puddings
Because deserts are stronger, more hot food, which is a popular fall favorites. Their desserts can be as creative as you dare. Some ingredients are popular to begin with plums, apples, pumpkin, sweet potato, or raisins. Cinnamon and nutmeg add a delicious flavor to the downfall of these desserts. Puddings can be great to meet people and large family dinners, as easily can be done to feed a crowd.
Pumpkin Food
Pumpkins can almost see your own food group in the fall. During the second half of September, pumpkins begin to be harvested and appear in the markets. Pumpkin can be eaten by itself as pumpkin seeds, pumpkin-flavored or can incorporate all kinds of dishes, including cakes, desserts, breads, soups, pancakes.
